Hacienda Vista Hermosa

Our wedding venue is the historic Hacienda Vista Hermosa, located about 90mins away from Mexico City by car. Built in the 1500s, the hacienda has since been renovated and converted into a hotel that can accommodate our wedding party. We have a special block rate for the weekend so please DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THE WEBSITE OR A TRAVEL SITE. The special rate will be unavailable if you attempt to book online. You must contact the hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa directly.

Getting to the hacienda

Our wedding planners will be organizing the transportation to and from the hacienda. Please email both your outbound and return flight itinerary (airline, flight number, arrival time) to our wedding planners at services@champagne-events.com.mx and they will provide you with the appropriate details regarding pick up time and location at the Mexico City airport (MEX) and departure time from the hacienda for your trip back.

If you plan on arriving a few days early and/or staying for a few extras days to explore Mexico City, please provide them with your hotel or Airbnb address so they can assist with your transportation needs to and from the hacienda.

Option 1) Shuttle: $50USD/person one way.

Option 2) Private Car: If you would prefer to have a private car (or have a very late arrival time) our wedding planners will schedule a dependable, trustworthy private car for you. $175USD for the car.

Option 3) Ubers and cabs are available from the airport to the hacienda and are $135USD+ but can be very unreliable. Note: Ubers are NOT available from the hacienda back to the airport and cabs are EXTREMELY LIMITED from the hacienda back to the airport.

Book Your Stay - Post Wedding (optional)

Got time? Stay and explore Mexico City with us after the wedding!

We will depart from the Hacienda on Sunday afternoon to head back to CDMX where we will stay to explore until Wed, April 23. Our itinerary is TBD... we are aiming for a choose-your-own-adventure relaxed style of travel that will include high brow and low brow experiences. Think museums, shopping, street tacos, cocktail bars, possibly a Xochimilco boat party... who knows, anything is possible!

If you want to stay, we strongly recommend booking your hotel/AirBNB in one of the week following neighborhoods. All three are known to be safe, artsy, and fun:

- La Condesa - Our air bnb is here. La Condesa is a beautiful neighborhood with hip eateries, art galleries, green spaces, Art Deco treasures, and some artisan boutiques. It has an easy going neighborhood vibe. Known for being the classier older brother of neighboring Roma.
- Roma/Roma Norte - A similarly artsy enclave as La Condesa, but with more of a hipster edge.
- Zona Rosa - Mexico City’s most famous LGBTQ+ neighborhood! Most of the gay bars and clubs are located here. The area is pretty commercial and located about 10 mins away from La Condesa and Roma on foot.

FAQ
FAQ
FAQs

1. Can I stay at a different hotel, not Hacienda Vista Hermosa?
No. All events are located at the Hacienda in the town of Morelos. Morelos is a semi-rural suburb of Mexico City and there are no comparable hotel options nearby.

2. Can I bring children?
Of course! There is a daycare service available. Violeta Agencia de Nineras is an agency of all-female professional babysitters with university degrees in the humanities, education, and health.

Please reach out to our wedding planners who can contract the service based on your needs. Steve and Mariluz at services@champagne-events.com.mx will get you a quote and confirm the service so it all goes smoothly.

3. Do I have a plus-one?
Yes! Let us know if you need a +1.

4. What should I wear?
All events are a tropical chic vibe, with the Friday welcome fiesta being more casual than the wedding on Saturday. Semi-formal and formal attire are both OK. We encourage you to be as fabulous as possible, while keeping the climate in mind.

- Vibrant colors and/or pastels are encouraged. Mimic those delicious, tropical tones with your attire!

- Ladies, make a tropical statement in a cocktail dress, full length gown, or unique pantsuit. Note that the property is historic and has both cobblestones and grass. Avoid skinny heels for the sake of your ankles. Opt for a block heel, wedges, or a dressy sandal.

- Gentlemen, it may be wise to select a look in breathable fabric such as linen, khaki, or seersucker. The Mexican climate provides a fun opportunity to wear lighter colors. Traditional suit colors like black, navy, and dark grey may leave you feeling too hot.

5. Which airport should I fly into?
Mexico City International Airport (MEX) IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not fly into Santa Lucia (NLU). It is a new airport that opened in 2022 but is 1 hour further away from the venue. There will be no organized transport scheduled from there.

6. How do I get to Hacienda Vista Hermosa?
For instructions, see Book Ground Transportation on Travel Checklist section.

The hacienda is 60-90 minutes from the airport. Our planners will arrange shuttles to bus people there closer to the wedding date once they have a better idea of which guests are arriving when.

7. What is the weather forecast?
April is a warm and sunny month in Morelos. Daily high temperatures are around 80°F, rarely falling below 74°F or exceeding 88°F. Temperatures can drop into the low 60s at night. Chance of rain is low.

We recommend checking the forecast in Morelos prior to your departure and planning accordingly.

8. Where is your gift registry?

We didn’t set up a registry because your presence with us in Mexico is the true gift, worth far more to us than material objects.
